What to Expect During Your Appointment
I am going to ask a lot of questions - the details are important in helping me understand what you are experiencing.
Most of us are used to spending less than 20 minutes per visit with our GPs even for our most complex health issues – some of us only see our GPs for as little as 8 minutes per visit. Homeopathy is different.
Your initial consultation for either ongoing conditions or improving your general health will last approximately 90 minutes.
Follow-up appointments are approximately 40 minutes long.
An appointment for an uncomplicated acute condition (cold, flu, respiratory issues, infection, etc.) averages 20-30 minutes.
Why does an appointment take so long?
In order to effectively treat you I need to know what you are experiencing. Not just related to your main complaint but in your whole being. As anyone can tell you, stomach flu does not only affect your stomach - it impacts the your over all energy, your mood, etc.
I want to know how your experience of illness has uniquely affected you. I need the details. I want to know: when your complaints began; did something trigger your symptoms; what it feels like for you; what makes it better; what makes it worse; what are the sensations you experience (‘it feels like…’); etc. I also want to know about your basic functioning - digestion, appetite, thirst, sleep, body temperature, etc.
All of these details help me determine the specific remedy that will stimulate and support your system to induce healing.
What if I don't live in Toronto?
